The city that lives under a rock.

The city that lives under a rock you have never seen before, as far as looks horrible, even more fantastic!

I love discovering places like this. Today I came across the story of this Spanish city that literally lives under a rock.

Apparently, the people in Setenil de las Bodegas built their homes in the rocky cliffs for centuries. The city streets are dotted with buildings that use the rock as a huge roof to cover their white facade, and sometimes the entire time covered by the shadows overtop rocks. This location is well served for years as the city of sun protection and invaders.

Andalusian city

Covering the walls is actually a ravine that was slightly marred by the Rio Trejo over the centuries.

In spite of life under a rock, Andalusian town is not so out of touch with the world as I term may indicate. Bars, restaurants and shops in the food Sentenil ranked as the best in the region, known for its delicacies such as pork, olive oil, honey, jam and Andalusian wine.
